A Beautiful Table Set with Love

As a symbol of beauty and love, roses are always the perfect addition to any table. Whether they are fresh roses in a vase, faux roses arranged for a centerpiece, or roses on a napkin ring, you can’t go wrong when adding them into a tablescape.

Setting a table doesn’t have to be a formal affair. Sure, a beautifully set dining table is always lovely, but even a simple setting on a coffee table or buffet can still wow guests.

Napkins are typically the first things guests at a table see and touch. After all, our mama’s always taught us to put our napkins in our laps upon sitting down, didn’t they? Therefore, I love coming up with fun, unique, creative, and beautiful ways to display napkins when guests visit the farm and join us for a meal. They’re great conversation pieces too!

How to Fold Cloth Napkins Into Roses

Folding cloth napkins into roses is quicker and easier than you may think. All you need are 17-inch to 20-inch square napkins. You can use any color that works best with the color scheme of your tablescape. I love using red, but pink, white, and lavender are a few of my other favorite colors.Red cloth napkins laid out on a table with one folded into a rose on top.

FOLD:

First, open the cloth napkin up so it lays flat on the surface you are working on. Then, bring one corner of the napkin to the opposite side, creating a triangle.A red cloth napkin folded into a triangle.

ROLL:

Begin rolling up the napkin from the bottom fold; going about two-thirds of the way up leaving a 4 to 5-inch triangle at the top.Rolling up a red cloth napkin from the bottom of the triangle.a red cloth napkin from the bottom of the triangle leaving a 4 to5-inch triangle at the top. From one end of the roll, tuck in the edge and carefully begin rolling the napkin all the way to the other side leaving about 4 to 5 inches at the end. TUCK:

Next, tuck the end of the roll into the pocket at the bottom. This will secure the roll in place.Tucking the end of the rolled napkin into the pocket to secure the roll in place.

PEEL AND PULL:

Now, peel apart the two layers at the top of the napkin at the top and pull them down and around the roll to the front.Holding the red cloth napkin up after it’s been rolled and secured.
