Stir fry recipes are always a fan favorite. The fresh ingredients and quick cook time make them perfect for a busy weeknight or a casual and laid-back weekend dinner. The best part of this recipe is that you can add things to it too. It’s a great baseline recipe. Add more spice by adding extra chilis or freshly grated ginger and add extra crunch with peanuts or more fresh vegetables. The chicken can also be switched out for shrimp. However, the cooking time will also need to decrease if using shrimp.

Cooking and Assembly
Place a large saute pan or a wok over medium-high heat and heat the sesame oil until it just starts to smoke a bit.
Add the chicken and saute it for 5-7 minutes. (The chicken will not be cooked through entirely. The rest of the cooking process will occur later.) Add the broccoli to the pan and saute for about 2-3 minutes.
Pour the sauce over the chicken and broccoli, lower the heat to medium, and continue to stir. Simmer the mixture for 4-5 minutes to thicken the sauce making sure it coats the chicken and broccoli.
