So Much to Love About Beans

There is so much to love about garbanzo beans, the most common ingredient in hummus. However, as much as I love them (and hummus), my love for Cannellini beans is stronger. (I hope I’m not getting too personal here!) For instance, I will take a bowl of White Bean Chicken Chili over traditional red chili any day of the week. They are delicious on a salad, in pasta, and so much more. Oh my goodness, I’m drooling! I digress… Anyway, it is this unconditional love for Cannellini beans that lead me to find other ways to enjoy them.

I can’t explain why this sudden urge hit me, but it did. When that happens, there is only one thing I can do, act on it. So, into the kitchen, I went. With a few simple ingredients, I was able to create my new favorite kind of delicious white bean hummus. Now I can honestly say that I prefer it over traditional chickpea hummus. Do you think I can convert you too? Time will tell… You’ll have to keep me posted.

There is nothing I love more than a casual outdoor fall gathering. (Even though I just expressed my love for Cannellini beans in the opening paragraph… My heart is big y’all, there’s a whole lot of room for lots of love!) Anyway, I am I’m all about casual entertaining. Jeans, sweaters, flannels, boots… yes, yes, yes, and yes!

I want you to feel at home when you’re at my home. Therefore, when we decided to have some family and friends over to the farm to celebrate all things fall, I wanted it to be a casual gathering. Creating this new white bean dip seemed perfect for the occasion! It’s so easy to make and filled with delicious flavor.
