Sharing is Caring
My best friend shared this recipe with me when I went to her house to visit. We proceeded to eat almost an entire bread bowl of this amazing artichoke dip between just the two of us. (It’s meant to serve 8!) If that isn’t a testament to how delicious this dip is, I don’t know what is!?
Not only is this the best-tasting artichoke dip recipe you’ll ever try, but it’s also incredibly easy to make. Basically, you throw all the ingredients into a microwave-safe bowl, pre-cook the ingredients some, hollowed out a round bread loaf, fill it with dip, and bake it. That’s it! In about 30 minutes you have a delicious dip that everyone will love and devour.
Ingredients in The Best Artichoke Dip
- Quartered artichoke hearts (canned)
- Chopped mild green chilis (canned)
- Swiss cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Mayonaise
- Green onions
- Round bread loaf (bread bowl)
- Fresh parsley (optional)
How to Make The Best Artichoke Dip
Make the Dip:
Put all the ingredients into a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for a couple of minutes, stir, microwave again for a couple more minutes, and stir again.
Make the Bread Bowl:
First, using a paring knife, cut a circle around the top of the round bread loaf creating a “lid.” Gently pull the “lid” off the top of the loaf. Begin to hollow out the inside of the bread creating a “bowl.” Next, cut off the soft bread on the inside of the “lid.” (Save the pieces of bread from the inside!)
Then, place the hollowed-out bread bowl on a cookie sheet and pour all the dip ingredients from the microwaveable bowl into the bread bowl. Arrange the pieces of bread that you took out of the loaf around the bread bowl so they can toast in the oven.
Bake the Artichoke Dip:
Finally, bake the artichoke dip in the bread bowl at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes until it’s golden on top.
Serve It Up
Serve this artichoke dip warm from the oven garnished with some chopped fresh parsley for extra color. I like to put the bread bowl on a large round plate or platter and arrange the toasted pieces of bread and some crackers all around it.
No matter how you serve it, this is the best artichoke dip you and your guests will have ever tasted. I hope you love it as much as we do here on the farm!

4 of us absolutely demolished this today for an Easter appetizer. Was hesitant about the Chile’s, but the recipe turned out great. Probably don’t need to microwave twice. Also had enough extra to fill a large ramekin. Solid recipe!
