Gather Around

The season of gathering is upon us and there is nothing I love more than inviting family and friends over to the farmhouse to celebrate the holidays. Special things happen when you invite loved ones around a table with you. My intention when inviting guests to gather with us is always to make them feel welcome and comfortable in our home and on the farm. I love hearing the echoes of laughter and good conversation throughout the farmhouse. There is nothing like good company, delicious food, and an inviting and comfortable atmosphere to create special holiday memories.

Christmas Table Setting Featuring Lenox: A Timeless Tradition

Founded in 1889, Lenox sets the highest standards for quality, artistry, and beauty when it comes to its tableware. They bring a rich history of craftsmanship to modern-day life; where families and friends gather to celebrate using pieces that are versatile and timeless. The beauty of Lenox is that it never goes out of style. Their pieces are perfect to use on the table all year round, but during the holidays, pulling out the Lenox dinnerware is always extra special. Whether it’s my grandmother’s silverware or a new piece that I was gifted, there’s just something magical about setting the table at Christmastime with Lenox.

The Best Time of the Year

In the south, Fall is the best time of the year to entertain and dine outside. The heat and humidity of summer have passed, the pollen count of spring is nonexistent, and the cold of winter hasn’t yet arrived. Therefore, I always jump at the opportunity to create a holiday tablescape outside on the farm. This year, my Christmas table setting features my Lenox collection. I wanted the table to have a rustic, yet elegant feel to it, and thanks to my Lenox pieces, I was able to achieve exactly the look I was going for.

Time to Set the Table

First, I laid out my “go-to” affordable tablecloth and placed the floral arrangement centerpiece which I designed in the middle of the table. I wanted the arrangement to be simple, rustic, and festive for the holidays. Now, it was time to arrange the place settings. I started with wood changers in front of each seat. I loved the way they tied into the wooden chairs as well as the natural elements surrounding us outside.

Its clean, elegant motif, beautiful ruffles, and tea-stained finish make it perfect for coordinating with other Lenox collections or dishes you may already have in your kitchen cabinet. Next, I set the Lenox, French Perle accent plate on top of the dinner plate. Each piece in the French Perle collection gleams with the subtle texture of scrolling beads along the edges.

With the plates set, I then added the Lenox, Textured Neutrals flatware. This flatware features a tumbled finish and has a vintage feel that adds an eclectic touch to any table. I love it! Then, I added the coffee (or tea) mugs and the Lenox, Tuscany Classics stemless flutes. These beautiful flutes are crafted of durable and elegant non-lead European crystal. The set is ideal for toasting to a special occasion or simply enjoying a glass of refreshing champagne or prosecco. They are break-resistant and dishwasher-safe for added convenience. The best part? You get six glasses for the price of four!

Christmas Table Setting Featuring Lenox, Finishing Touches

Now that the table is set, it’s time to add the finishing touches. I love bringing natural elements from the farm into my tablescapes. Taking a walk around our property, I gathered up some longleaf pine bows and berries to add to the center of the table. I also add some forged taper candle holders, beautiful snowflake votive candle holders, and Lenox, Wintery Woods Lit Mercury Glass Pine Trees. They add the perfect amount of shimmer and glow to the table.

Finally, I add white linen napkins tied with twine and a rosemary sprig from the garden on top of each accent plate. With our table now set, it was time to light the candles and await our guests. I can’t wait to celebrate the holiday season surrounded by the ones I love. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
