Front porch swing bed decorated for Christmas

This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!, a brand I love. I’m happy to share with you my favorite Christmas decor items from their store. All opinions here are my own.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! To kick off the holiday season here on the farm, I wanted to start by decorating the front porch for Christmas. After all, it’s the first space to welcome you to our home upon your arrival. This year, I wanted to make it extra special.

Thanks to my outstanding shopping experience at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! I was able to find the most beautiful and affordable Christmas decor for the front porch of the farmhouse. Every shopping experience feels like a treasure hunt with their ever-changing selection of affordable and beautiful home and seasonal decor. I was like a kid in a candy shop!

Planning Christmas decor.

The first step when decorating for Christmas is usually deciding on a theme. During the holidays, there are so many themes to choose from. Since I had never been to a Christmas Tree Shops AndThat!, I wasn’t sure what my decorating theme was going to be for the front porch, but I was thinking I’d like to turn it into a winter wonderland.

I was excited about the idea of going to shop with an open mind, seeing what they had to offer, and coming up with a plan while I was there.  The experience did not disappoint!

Time to shop.

The shopping experience at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! was truly that of a wonderful Christmas treasure hunt. From the moment I walked into the store, it was clear I was going to find everything I needed to turn the farmhouse front porch into a true winter wonderland. I was so impressed by the selection that they offered!

As I made my way down the first isle of what felt like “Christmas Heaven,” it was clear that picking a theme was going to be very fun because there was so much to choose from. Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! had a variety of Christmas themes which included: country, traditional, coastal, glam, winter, and so much more.

Although they were all beautiful, I was immediately drawn to the Awash in Winter White theme. The pieces give the feeling of a fresh snowfall and include an array of white hues, a cast of woodland characters, and metallic accents. I found some rustic wood carved trees, a sweet gnome, and beautiful mugs, just to name a few things. Together, I knew these items were going to give me the Winter Wonderland feel I wanted on the porch this Christmas.

Decorating the front porch for Christmas.

Our front porch stretches out on either side of our front door. On one side we have our swing bed (everyone’s favorite spot to hang out) with a wood chest coffee table. On the other side of the porch, we have a set of rockers with a table in between them. I knew I wanted some pillows and blankets for both of these areas where we often spend cozy outdoor moments throughout the holiday season.

Styling ideas when decorating the front porch for Christmas.

With the swing bed adorned with comfy pillows and a cozy blanket, it was time to style the coffee table for Christmas. I love styling coffee tables with trays, especially for our outdoor living areas. They are easy to pull inside during inclement weather and take back outside once it’s past. Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! made styling a tray for the porch so easy! I used the beautiful painted winter-themed glass vase and filled it with seasonal greens. I also added a white bottle brush tree and an amazing smelling winter scented candle to the tray. They made the perfect trio on the coffee table in front of the swing bed.

Every Christmas, next to the swing bed, I put up a faux pre-lit Christmas tree. I love white twinkle lights this time of year! In the past, I have never decorated the tree with ornaments. This year, that changed. I found an incredible deal on beautiful, shatter-proof ornaments (perfect for outdoors), a beautiful off-white knit tree skirt, and a gorgeous tree topper to match. The tree turned out beautifully! It will definitely be decorated with Christmas ornaments every year from now on.

One cozy winter wonderland spot on the porch styled and ready for Christmas. One to go. The rockers are perfect for that first morning cup of coffee. In the winter I love to snuggle up with a blanket and a hot cup of coffee, rock, and watch the farm come to life. I found beautiful woodland animal mugs to use this holiday season and throughout the winter for all the warm beverages we’ll be enjoying. They even had plates to match the mugs! The sweet woodland creatures tied in perfectly to my winter wonderland theme. On the side table between the rockers, I styled the gorgeous wood cut-out trees with a vintage crock filled with a white floral arrangement. The dreamy winter feel in this space was just what I had envisioned!

Finishing touches.

With the porch swing bed and the rockers decorated for Christmas, there was only one thing left to do. It was time to dress the porch windows for the holidays. It’s no secret that I love hanging wreaths in windows, even on the porch. I found the most beautiful winter wreaths at Christmas Tree Shops AndThat! The minute I saw them hanging in the wreath isle, I knew they were going to be the perfect finishing touches for my winter wonderland porch Christmas decor. I was right!
